Cast members of “Jersey Shore” certainly have their favorite dishes at Rivoli’s Italian and Seafood Restaurant on Fischer Boulevard in Toms River. But that doesn’t mean owner Tony Rivoli won’t try to steer them to try something new. “We force them to get different things, though. We put different things on the table,” Rivoli said. “Mike (Michael Sorrentino) likes lobster, we give him crab legs.”
“Mike likes the two-pound lobsters so we brought that to him, and it was huge,” said manager Lorraine Trippanera.
“It’s bigger than Snooki — but not anymore,” Rivoli quipped. Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is expecting.
Sorrentino is also sweet on another dish.
“Mike’s obsessed with the Sicilian crumb cake,” said server Nicole Skrinak. “He loves that.”
The other cast members’ favorites are: Jennifer Farley, steaks; Paul DelVecchio, chicken alfredo; Deena Nicole Cortese, chicken fontina; and Samantha Giancola and Vinnie Guadagnino, chicken francaise.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro goes for the seafood.
“Ronnie likes to eat healthy,” Skrinak said. “He does the salmon.”
“Jersey Shore” has filmed at Rivoli’s 15 times, and cast members have visited without the cameras about eight times, Rivoli said. They expect the cast and crew back when filming for Season 6 begins this summer.
Rivoli’s leftovers get extra screen time.
“On the show, they get up the next day and start taking the stuff out of the refrigerator from Rivoli’s that they brought home,” Trippanera said. “They’ll eat all the leftovers.”
